The text under the Project inspire is a little too small, you can still read it but its small. The green on a brown background always pops and the pink text makes it readable, the shadows under these headers are a little too heavy for me although they are perfect in the footer part of the deviation. The rollover color of the top menu is badly chosen (green) and isn't readable too well and some links in the content itself are grey and thus badly readable on the brown background.
All in all, its a nice journal css but you are missing the refinement of the journal, especially the colours could have been improved.
Onto the CSS design. I think you've definitely got the right idea, especially with the colour combination. This particular shade of pink goes great with the brown, as does the green. They all go well together. However, the pink on green is very hard on the eyes and doesn't match up. I would swap the pink on green for brown on green. Also, on the navigation/menu, when you hover, the hover colour is blue, which once again is very hard on the eyes. It's quite difficult to read, so I would also change that to something more readable.
I feel the special features box needs quite a bit of work. I would personally make it fluid, to adjust with the width of the rest of the journal. The reason I say this is because it seems to be floating in the middle of no where.
The background images seem okay to me. Perhaps a little work on the pattern would be an idea. There are some websites around where you can get some very interesting patterns! I also noticed on the live version of the CSS, there is a thick (maybe 5px) border around the entire journal that is in a deviantART green - perhaps this could be removed as I don't think it is actually meant to be there?
Once again though, the colour scheme is nice. I can see wood fitting in with this design - not original, no but fitting with the colours you've chosen. A little more work could go far on this CSS!
